A constantly evolving organisation
To cultivate relationships, agreements and a vision that goes beyond national borders, since its foundation ESD Italia has been part of the European negotiation alliance EMD – European Marketing Distribution. This international organisation currently has 13 participants among members and partners and operates in 16 countries. A major aggregation structure with 56,000 stores and, in Europe, turnover of €180 billion.
Its vitality is reflected in strong expansion at European level, as evidenced by projects underway for 2026, including the entry into its structure of Finland’s market leader S-Group. Other developments include the opening to on-top negotiations for Denmark’s Dagrofa and Sweden’s Dagab, already EMD partners for private label. Also integral to the organisation’s DNA are extra-European partnerships, such as the private label collaboration with the South Korean group Lotte, one of the most important players in the Asian market.
